【天门山索道是世界最长的高山客运索道，位于张家界天门山。共有轿厢98个，索道支架57 个（含3个救护支架），全部采用法国POMA公司原装进口设备。索道全长7455米（一说7454米，7460米），高差1279米（一说1277米），是国内为数不多高差超过千米的索道之一，其中站到上站之间的局部斜度更高达38度，世界罕见，是国内局部斜度最大的索道，同时也是支架最多的索道】
