LANGKAWI/MALAYSIA: Malaysia will not take retaliatory trade action against India over its boycott of palm oil purchases amid a political row between the two countries, Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Monday.

India, the world’s largest edible oil buyer, this month effectively halted imports from its largest supplier and the world’s second-biggest producer in response to comments from Mahathir on India’s domestic policies.

周一，马来西亚总理马哈蒂尔表示，由两国一场政治争执而引发的印度对马来西亚棕榈油的抵制，马来西亚不会对印度采取报复性的贸易行动。
