WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned of a "very painful" two weeks as the United States wrestles with a coronavirus surge that the White House warns could kill as many as 240,000 Americans.

"This is going to be a very painful, a very, very painful two weeks," Trump told a press conference at the White House.
Trump described the pandemic as "a plague."

"I want every American to be prepared for the hard days that lie ahead," he said

美国总统特朗普在白宫发布会上表示，美国正在经受前所未有的考验。“疫情的高峰正在来临，且来势凶猛”。美国人应该做好准备，接下来将是非常艰难的两周，非常非常痛苦的两周。
