LOS ANGELES: The first test launch of a rocket that is released from a jumbo jet at 35,000 feet and then propels itself into orbit to deploy a satellite failed on Monday, the Virgin Orbit company said.

"The mission terminated shortly into the flight. Cosmic Girl and our flight crew are safe and returning to base," Virgin Orbit's Twitter account reported as the test was underway off the coast of California.

The plane released the rocket cleanly, but the latter developed trouble of unknown origin after igniting its first-stage engine, the company said.

5月25日，英国维珍轨道公司首次利用波音747飞机“宇宙女孩”号在空中试射了“运载器一号”（LauncherOne）空射液体火箭，但这次试射以失败告终。“运载者一号”的一级火箭点火后不久便发生故障，火箭失控并自毁。

“宇宙女孩”号和机组人员平安返回基地。

Now for some thoughts on this : Imagine if this had happened on an Indian program. The anti India brigade of secular- liberals, intellectuals ( degenerates), movie " personalities", anti Hindu media entities would all join in a shrill outcry screaming about Covid, stranded migrant labor or any thing that catches their fancy to deride such a program. Of course cheated by " minorities" who follow alien religions which have no basis in India, subcontinent or Asia for that matter.
