I didn’t know anything about him.
Except that he’s Chinese, he sat beside me right across the aisle, all calm and quiet, minding his own business. We were going to Lahore, it was a five hours drive. I want to say that I liked him, there was something about him that just felt right. He was a good man. A part of me wished to interact with him but I didn’t… just for the sake of his space and peace of mind.
Two hours passed and the steward announced of a short stop at the rest area.
This is when he looked at me and politely asked “for how long the stay would be here?”
I said, 15 minutes.
At the rest area, I got out of the bus and stretched my legs.
It was quite a place actually, there were restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops.
So then I noticed the Chinese guy coming out of McDonald’s, he walked towards bus with quite a handful actually, wielding two big ice creams cones, burger and a drink.
Instead of going inside the Bus, he stopped before the driver and steward who were standing right in front of the bus and presented them the ice creams with a gentle smile and leaned his head while at it. Both of them paused in awe for a second, hesitated but then accepted the treats with a smile and thanks. He then went inside the bus.
And here I was, looking at this scene.
It amazed me, how thoughtful and kind of him really!
No this wasn’t a show off.
It was a built in attitude, a dogma. I could sense that right there.
Though I like to think I am a kind person in general, I toot my horn of empathy here and there, but this gesture of him just told me that I’m not even half of him when it comes to decency, generosity and courtesy.
No, I have never done that. More pathetically, I have never even thought of it.
And to add a little insult to the injury, I have never seen any one else doing that!
My Goodness, this one Chinese Guy just outclassed me and anyone that I know of.
No wonder, they’re progressing way better than us in every aspect of life.
So to answer the question, we “the Pakistanis” can definitely learn a thing or two about being more lenient, empathetic and kind from the Chinese people.

Hey!
I am Clara, from Spain, and former student from the University of Nottingham Ningbo. I spend some months living and studying in Ningbo, surrounded by Chinese students and locals. This is what I have learned:
1.Generosity:
Chinese people have the same contradictary approach than their citys architecture. People tend to have a strong sense of community but a huge individuality. They are not afraid of being alone but at the same time enjoy the sense of a collectivity and tradition. From my experience with chinese students, they tend to be reserved prior to knowing you, always polite and helpful, but also minding their business. Once you start getting to know them, they are extremely generous. They share everything, from food to money to time. I remember that my roomate’s family came to visit her. Her grandmother is asmathic and got very sick because of the high pollution levels. She had to go to the hospital, but my roomate did not understand chinese well. So we called one of my chinese friends, to see if she could accompany her. It was late at night, so it was already a huge favour. She came along with another friend and stayed in the hospital with her grandma until she felt better. The next day, I asked talked to one of the chinese girls and she said that everything was fine, and that my other friend did not sleep anything and had an exam early in the morning. She did not say anything to us. She could’ve stayed at home and just one of them would have come. But both of them helped them out.
2. Security, being comfortable:
China is a very safe country. Not only because of all the cameras around, also because people tend to be more peaceful than in other places. They go much with the “Let me be and I will let you be”. At least in Ningbo, the streets were always peaceful and nobody did anything strange. In trains people were friendly and held conversations with other’s while leaving their stuff everywhere. It was strange, as in my country people even steal coats from clubs if you leave them unattended. I also miss that principle when it comes to man. While I was in China, even at night, nobody ever approached me or shouted at me like a piece of meat. Yesterday (in my hometown in Spain), I went out to a friend’s house to have dinner and on my way back home three cars and a group of men cat-called me. I was feeling disgusted and missed my days in China when I went back home safe and thinking about my business without being treated like an animal
3. Technology thinking, distance:
In China, a lot of things were digitallized. From paying with QR codes through your phone to even getting a ticket to a museum. This safes a lot of time and in coronavirus era, it’s much convinient. You don’t need to start counting money like an idiot on a line of other anxous people. It also safes up the insecurity of loosing money or even getting stolen. And it’s much more hygienic. Money is touched by thousands of people before it lands on your hands. If you use your phone, it is only used by you. Also, technological tickets or face recognition tickets are a good way of reducing the use of paper and also distancing from others. Their gadgets and tools are also really helpful. They design things in order to be practical instead of aesthetic.

CHINA is a 100 times bigger than my country GHANA but due to poor leadership and lazy financial management, this is how some areas in the capital city still looks in 2020.
Most countries in Africa as much as craving for better governance and a system to kick out poverty should learn from china
First, there’s China, the major global power. Over the past 30 years China has built up the world’s second largest economy, tipped to overtake the US within the next decade. Back in the early 1980s, China’s GDP per capita was lower than India’s; by 2000, it was already twice that of India’s and the gap continues to widen.
Secondly. there’s China, the development partner. With a truly remarkable track record, China is undoubtedly a world-leader in poverty reduction and improving health outcomes and there is a lot the rest of the world can learn from its experience. Last year the world celebrated the success of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and set out new targets to reach by 2030. The first of the MDGs, to halve global poverty within 15 years, was realized several years before the 2015 deadline, a spectacular achievement. But China would be justified in claiming considerable credit for this success; an astonishing 439 million of the approxmately one billion people lifted out of extreme poverty since 1990 were Chinese. In 2015, the UNDP calculated that China had contributed 76% of all global poverty reduction to date.
there are beautiful cities in Ghana and in Africa but looking at how small our countries are and comparing it china,we fall behind not to talk about natural resources, oil, gas, gold, diamond, timber, a good soil for farming but we are still broke and always at the mercies of other countries begging for loan. if we are to pick a clue from china, Africa would be great.
Our views may differ but the truth always remains the same.
China is the world's largest exporter and the second largest importer. what do they export? natural mineral resources? no. apart from farm products, they export industrial manufactured goods and services. hand made!
Ghana has almost all the richest mineral resources you can ever think of,not to mention another oil field discovery.

The list is long! There are so many things we can learn from China and the Chinese people. However, if there is just one thing we must learn from China, it’s about living safely and peacefully (such as giving up the guns).
Well, China is widely accepted as one of the safest countries to live in, as evidenced by a 24.3% drop in its number of criminal cases between 2016 and 2019.

China has witnessed a steady fall in the number of major criminal cases such as homicides, rapes and kidnaps. The report also adds that the number of such specific cases, within the overall decline in criminal cases mentioned earlier, was down a promising 34.9% in that same 2016-2019 period.
The case number of crimes against property, including theft and robbery, fell 48.5%.
But beyond official reports and stats, how do foreign residents in China really feel about personal safety?
This question has been raised on Quora: How safe is China?

The world is facing a pandemic crisis — Coronavirus
What we should learn from Chinese people is how to obey rules especially in the time of crisis unlike the rest of the world

“Hot water good for health”
In China, not only is water best-served pi hot, but drinking it is also seen as a cure-all for ailments from the common cold to cholera.
Change is the only constant
Don’t grow too attached to that wonton place down the street. Chances are it will be gone by Monday. China is in a period of high-speed growth, and that means that change is always on the horizon. You have to learn to love it

I don’t think indians give much respect to chinese because we think they copy all products and capture indian market. Before lockdown i got a chance to travel with chinese tourists in auto rickshaw.
They were two ladies with one man and i was sitting inside the auto at that time when they boarded the auto and we was able to communicate in english.
I said hello to the man and all three gave me a hand shake with friendly smile ,instantly.
They were heading towards Golden temple and after some chat they invited me to join them.
At that time i was going to my college, but i decided to go with them because these chances don’t come again and again.
All of three had only one phone with of 2g, they said they wanted to enjoy the trip that’s why they have only one phone and they didn’t wanted to waste time on phone.
We ate lungar and had a very good time together.
They were very good hearted people.
what we can learn from them:
I think they have a very good viewpoint regarding india, but indians don’t give them respect because we think that they are not allowing us to grow and they are taking a big bite of our economy.
But we should.
