There is no doubt as to how smart Chinese are but so are INDIANS. There is no field of expertise untouched by Indians and it's a gleeful fact that we are not only engaging in different fields but also excell in them.There is no scholastic competition not won by an Indian. In fact the most educated man in this world is an Indian, our IT engineers are demanded worldwide, our research organisation ISRO is among the best in the world.Moreover NASA world's top space research organisation has a significant no. Of Indian scientists.

We have the largest diaspora population in the world. This manifests that we are not only hel our own country to rise above but are also major contributors to the already grown superpowers in the world.And of course who can forget the huge history of inventions by Indians namely zero,Ayurveda,Yoga and so many which laid foundation for today's research and theories.Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology of non violence is praised worldwide. The very fact that such an old,simple man led the entire nation out of the quagmire of slavery and granted us independence evinces that we Indians do not need to adopt any tortuous route to achieve our goals as our smartness lies in our ordinariness. This is not even a tip of the Iceberg of our achievements and smartness.

One might wonder as why i haven't mentioned anything great about China.It's because i believe that we Indians are smart enough to not compare ourselves with anybody because it would imply demeaning our uniqueness.I don't deny their smartness and tremendous achievements but nevertheless our competition should be to ourselves.We are a nation of millions of people and each one of us has the conviction to achieve whatever we desire

圣雄甘地的非暴力思想受到全世界的赞扬。这样一个单纯的老人领导整个国家走出了奴隶制的泥潭，并赋予了我们独立，这表明我们印度人没有走弯路就实现了目标，我们的聪明在于我们的平凡。

有人可能会问，为什么我没有提到中国的伟大之处。因为，我相信我们印度人足够聪明，不会拿自己和别人比较，否则就意味着贬低我们的独特性。我不否认中国人是聪明的，也不否认他们取得的巨大成就，但我们应该是和自己比。我们是一个拥有十几亿人口的国家，我们每个人都有实现自己愿望的信念

I think they are. Reason why I believe it is:

They are better in IT sector and their numbers are more in this field.
They are hard working.

You obviously see a lot of companies from China be it phone or any other thing. These products can only develop if they have brain.
I also notice that they focus more on education

Other than this my friend who studied in Singapore told me that his Chinese counterparts were smarter and more intelligent. And I know my friend and can say that he himself is very hard working and smart. So him saying this does shed light to the question you asked

我想他们中国人的确更聪明，原因是：他们在it领域做得更好，从事IT行业的专业人员也更多

很明显，你会看到很多来自中国的公司，无论是手机还是其他产品。只有人才济济，你才能生产出这些产品。

我还发现他们更注重教育

除此之外，我在新加坡学习的朋友告诉我，他的中国同行更聪明。我了解我的朋友，他自己工作很努力，也很聪明。

why not the indians is an more smartest ,talented, well cultured, And much more greatest than chinese.The two major problem facing by india are poverty & unity.

ok ok now leave about the poverty and what about the unity, The great india got all kind of religions on one place like Hindu,muslim,Christians,sikhims,buddist and many other religions all over india.The only and great problem facing by india is unity when this unity is formed we will become the not only the smartest country one of the mostly powerfull country on world.

Well if you consider for ongoing era they might b smarter than Indian. ,is the permanent u.n. member and in any aspect it is better and higher than India,it's economy is bigger, country size is bigger,has dominating language etc etc

I don' t know if indians are as smart as chinese, i doubt if its even possible to measure smartness of an entire country, but i do know that this question isn't answered by a single chinese quoran until now.
