NEW DELHI: India has the third highest number of billionaires in the world with 19 new additions during the year 2020, according to the billionaires list released by Forbes.

新德里：据《福布斯》公布的亿万富翁名单，印度的亿万富翁数量位居世界第三，2020年新增19名。

The report also said that the total number of Indian billionaires rose to 140 this year from 102 last year and their combined wealth nearly doubled to 596 billion dollars.

报告还称，印度亿万富翁的总数从去年的102人增加到今年的140人，他们的财富总和几乎翻了一番，达到5960亿美元。

While Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos topped the global for fourth year in a row, Reliance Industries (RIL) chief Mukesh Ambani became the richest person in Asia again and ranked number 10 on the global list.

@Devanshu: you have zero knowledge about how rich people work and get wealth. In US also people know how Amazon makes mony. Don't you know unionization has begun in America in Amazon? They monopolize by throwing small players out. They pay political donations to both parties so that laws are made favrable to them. they end up paying 10% tax where as a common person pays 30% tax. And in India, it is same.

And in the meantime the common citizens lost jobs, lost bussinesses, worked from home like a slave for half salary, walked on railway tracks for hundreds of kilometers with family, died on the road sides, trains n buses.....and still most of them cant even get vaccine today. Almost all rich people got richer during pandemic due to economic stimulus packages given by various central banks and governments. According to a study by The Economist magazine households in 21 rich countries saved an additional $3 trillion (double normal saving rate) during the 9 months of pandemic.
