Mumbai is the best. Just stop making ugly coastal roads and trying to copy Shanghai. We're better than Shanghai and need to embrace our uniqueness, not throw it out and turn our entire coast into a uniform boring highway. Literacy rate of Shanghai is 97 % while that of Mumbai is 90%. GDP nominal of Shanghai is approx 3 times that of Mumbai. Mumbai had the potential to become the hub of Asia. But due to incompetent city, state and central government Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai over took it. The road infrastructure in Mumbai is worser than Delhi and Chennai. If you like the ambiance of Slums, then all world class cities will seem boring for you.
