On June 28, Baihetan Hydropower Station's first batch of units will start generating electricity. Located downstream from the insha River on the border of Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southwest China,

Baihetan Hydropower Station is the world's largest power plant currently under construction, the world's largest installed capacity of a single generating unit, and the world's second-largest in terms of overall installed capacity.

It is a major source of power for China's west-to-east power transmission project and is expected to make a great contribution to the country's efforts to peak carbon dioxde emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

6月28日，白鹤滩水电站第一批机组开始发电。白鹤滩位于中国西南部云南和四川边境金沙江下游

白鹤滩水电站是目前世界上最大的在建电站，也是世界上单机组装机容量最大的电站，装机容量位居世界第二。

它是中国“西电东输”工程的主要电力来源，预计将为中国实现2030年二氧化碳排放峰值、2060年实现碳中和作出重大贡献。
