Jawaharlal Nehru responsible for inflation, says Madhya Pradesh minister Vishvas Sarang

BHOPAL: Medical education minister Vishvas Sarang on Saturday has blamed the current inflation on the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

博帕尔:周六，医学教育部长Vishvas Sarang将当前的通货膨胀归咎于印度首任总理贾瓦哈拉尔·尼赫鲁。

Speaking to the media here, Sarang said, “The flaw in Nehru’s speech on August 15, 1947 is responsible for the economic instability of the country.” He even advised the Congress to protest in front of 10, Janpath in New Delhi – the official residence of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

“Inflation does not happen in a day or two. Neither is the foundation of an economy laid in a short time,” Sarang explained. The minister claimed that the present inflation is the outcome of Nehru’s Independence Day speech of 1947 from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

Sarang解释道：“通胀不是一两天内发生的。经济基础也不是在短时间内打下的。”这位部长声称，目前的通货膨胀是尼赫鲁1947年在红堡的城墙上发表独立日演讲的结果。

Sarang further said, “After independence, if anyone is really responsible for the spiralling inflation in the country, then it is the Nehru-Gandhi family.”

Reacting to Sarang’s comment, state Congress spokesman Narendra Saluja said, “What kind of persons have been made ministers in this BJP-led government in Madhya Pradesh? Is this the same person who is considered a promising minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet?”
