8月24日19时15分，酒泉卫星发射中心，长征二号丙遥五十一运载火箭搭档远征一号S遥二上面级，以“一箭三星”方式，成功发射三颗通信技术试融合试验卫星

仅仅4个半小时后，8月24日23时41分，西昌卫星发射中心，长征三号乙遥七十八运载火箭又成功发射了通信技术试验卫星七号。
