Dombivli rape case: 26 held for gang rape of 15-year-old girl; search for three accused underway

KALYAN: In a shocking incident, a case has been registered against 29 people for allegedly ra a 15-year-old girl in Dombivali.

Datta Karale, additional commissioner of police, informed that 24 people have been arrested while other two detained accused are minors. Police are on the look out for remaining three accused.

The main accused is said to be a friend of the survivor who had first raped the girl in January and made a video of the same.

Later, other accused using the same video blackmailed the girl and raped her on several occasions at different places including Dombivali, Badlapur, Rabale and Murbad.

The survivor on Wednesday night approached the police after which a gang rape case was registered. All accused are booked under Indian Penal Code Section 376 (rape), 376 (N), 376 (3), 376 (D) (A) and Section 4,6 and 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO)Act.
