U.S. is introducing a bill to declare Diwali as a federal holiday, If passed, 5 Mn Indian Americans will have the chance to celebrate Diwali thousands of miles away from home. Diwali is already a national holiday in many countries.

Unfortunately, Diwali barely has any soft power. We have such a high number of people living in the western world, yet barely anyone, atleast in US knows about Diwali. We celebrate Chinese New year with such vigor but on Diwali there's nothing but homesickness. If what you just said in this video was even half true, I'd be a much happier man
