Here's a thought on World Science Day. Why are more youngsters not taking up pure science? Is the pursuit of science not rewarding anymore? Palki Sharma says the World must embrace science if it wants to make progress and stay safe.

Problem is not with science or any kind of arts. Problem is how we have built the world as marketing material, everything around money and poor education system. Science is always interesting just like a fastasy dream. The people who are conscious knows this and they're doing right things and nobody needs to know. I think the human consciousness and intelligence is what is lacking.So we have to be more interesting or rather creative to attract people's attention towards this.

Plenty of people do have passion and want to learn, but end up stocking shelves at Tesco's because, sadly, they can't afford to go to university.

Some don't qualify for loans and many don't have a "bank of mum and dad" to turn to. (Why politicians think that's normal at the bottom of the working class I'll never know.)

Non STEM students cannot enroll in science courses in universities.
