China-Laos railway set to open in latest advance for Beiing’s Belt and Road Initiative

中老铁路即将开通，“一带一路”倡议的最新进展

Final touches were being put on the China-Laos railway on the eve of its December 3, 2021, opening. Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith will be joined virtually by his Chinese count- part for the opening ceremony which will also mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The China-funded project, part of Beiing’s Belt and Road Initiative meant to grow global trade, will eventually be expanded so the railway connects the Chinese city of Yunnan with Singapore, passing through Laos, Thailand, and Malaysia.

中老铁路将于2021年12月3日正式开通。为纪念两国建交60周年，老挝通伦·西苏里特将与中方一同出席开通仪式。该项目由中国出资，是北京“一带一路”倡议的一部分，旨在促进全球贸易，该路线最终将继续延伸，连接中国云南和新加坡，途经老挝、泰国和马来西亚。

Laos is a very small economy and not capable to build this how they can pay this massive project when their country has no money to pay back they need more than decades and they should stop relying from china this is gonna be a huge debt.
