I don't think India would need s500. DRDO is working on 1000km long range BMD double range of s500. AAD 1 and AAD 2 missiles have also been tested for BMD.

India has been develo its own defence systems. Though, S-400 and 500 deals are mainly focused on maintaining the Indo-Russian economic relationship. Few billions for one of the best defence system, is not gonna be an issue fr India, imo.
