A severe cold wave alert was issued for 5 North Indian states, with New Delhi recording this season's lowest temperature. Cold wave due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir.

As a northern European, I can recommend that you keep your feet warm.  It doesn't matter how thick your overcoat is, when your feet are cold, you freeze all over your body.  2 or 3 pairs of thick socks and closed shoes.  and a cap for your head.  50% of the body heat is lost through the head.

I think Delhi will see negative temperatures this year after so many years . Last year the min. was 1 degree C in January , but in December it was not this cold last year
