China plans to extend the length of its high-speed railway network to 50,000km (31,070 miles) by 2025.

The expansion of the world’s largest high-speed railway exceeds the combined length of the next five countries on the list: Spain, Japan, France, Germany and Finland. In its latest five-year transport plan issued on January 18, 2022, the Chinese State Council also said the country will widen its use of the Beidou satellite navigation system, and urged to tighten control of the use of transport data for national security.

Don't forget geography china is a large country so if you added more track then of course you have more railroad mileage than many other countries that are much much smaller in geography size
