The cold war between Russia and the West is heating up amid fears that President Vladimir Putin might soon invade Ukraine. Currently, the United States and NATO allies have put their troops on standby in an event of military action by Russia in Ukraine. This after reports of Russia step up over 1 lakh troops at the Ukraine border surfaced. If the invasion happens, it is set to affect India's ties in times of a tectonic geopolitical flux. While India has ramped up its dialogue with the United States and getting into various pacts and alliances with it, Russia has been strengthening its connections with China in order to better resist US aggression if the need arises.

俄罗斯和西方之间的冷战正在升温，外界担心俄罗斯可能很快入侵乌克兰。

目前，美国和北约盟国已经命令部队处于待命状态，以防俄罗斯在乌克兰采取军事行动。

此前有报道称俄罗斯在乌克兰边境增加了10万军队。

As for India as an Indian I first recommend that the PM loose the “checkered neck scarf” then proceed to prepare our defence forces to the hilt on all fronts and to sit this conflict out as it has a long term geo political impact on India’s ability to counter any expansion plans China might be having at this point.
