India was not behind China until very recently.  But now, due to a series of poor choices, India has no chance of catching up with China in any foreseeable future.

Of course Chinese system is not perfect but the government is so flexble. They keep making changes and adjustment. It is easier for them to do this than Indian because of the political system.

Really hope Indian can catch up. First of all, Indian needs to see and face the reality that India is so far behind China after 30 years development. China did whatever necessary to boost the economy and had a massive leap. Indian need to make changes to the system. It is going to be painful and won’t be easy but totally necessary. Without the major reform the difference can only be bigger. Bury your head in sand is not wise.

Well, the problem with India is there are too many politicians. Seems most of the smartest people there are politicians and they spend most of time talking about problems instead of resolving problems.

India is a different nation to China with a different culture. Religion, or the type encouraged by government, is too prevalent and will hold the country back.
