Russian Defence ministry claimed that Ukrainian authorities have forcibly kept a large number of Indian students in kharkiv. It claimed that Indian students were taken hostage by Ukrainian forces, who use them as a human shield. The Russian Defence Ministry said that the Russian armed forces are ready to take all necessary measures for the safe evacuation of the Indian citizens. Ukraine rebutted Russia's claims saying Indian students can't leave due to missile strikes by Russia. Ukraine stated Indian students have become hostages of the Russian armed aggression.

俄罗斯国防部称，乌克兰当局强行将大量印度学生留在哈尔科夫，印度学生被乌克兰军队劫持为人质，把他们当作人体盾牌。

俄罗斯国防部表示，俄罗斯武装部队已准备好采取一切必要措施，安全撤离印度公民。

Earlier ukrainian govt ignored to come to table with russians over their engagement with western bloc to address concerns of latter, now using students irrespective pf their nationality as their shield. While the world is mourning over the civilian casualities in Ukraine, they are trying to negotiate the ceasefire using such tactics.
