I hear a lot of fair opinions from other countries accusing the west of hypocrisy for causing this by expanding NATO's borders. At the end of the day if NATO was going to attack Russia surely now would be the time. Is it really so terrible to let weaker countries join a defensive military organisation? Do you honestly think Putin wouldn't still be trying to revive the Soviet Union even if NATO hadn't let in new members? I like to think I've learnt some new perspectives over the last few weeks. The situation is complex and it does nobody any favours trying to pin blame purely to one side.
