Whether you like these brands or not is irrelevant. The fact is they do employ a lot of people and the closures will affect many ordinary working Russians. Not just those working in the shops but those who work in the supply chain, factory workers, delivery drivers etc. It won't be easy for those who have lost jobs to find new ones. And with the high interest rates you can't exactly live off borrowed money either. It's going to get tough for many people.
