PM Modi led govt is expected to finalise a $1-billion line of credit to Sri Lanka. Amid economic crisis at home, Sri Lankan Finance Minister visited New Delhi on a 2-day visit. Sri Lanka aims to use financial help to make emergency purchases of food, medicines & essential items. PM Modi met Sri Lanka’s finance minister Basil Rajapaksa in New Delhi on Wednesday. PM Modi emphasised on Sri Lanka’s role in India’s ‘Neighborhood First’ policy.
