China's first gigawatt-scale wind project surpasses 1 billion kilowatt-hours

中国首个百万千瓦级风电项目发电量超过10亿千瓦时

The total power generation of China's first gigawatt-scale offshore wind farm has surpassed one billion kilowatt-hours (kWh). The Shapa project was first connected to the grid at full capacity on December 25, 2021, with a total installed capacity of 2 million kilowatts. Since then, it has produced more than 1 billion kWh of clean electricity, enough to supply 500,000 families and greatly reduce coal usage.

沙扒项目于2021年12月25日首次满负荷并网，总装机容量为200万千瓦。

It's like you are saying that the EU has the highest greenhouse emissions, but in reality, those are many countries added together.

Wind turbine has suffer fast deteriorate in desert due to solid keep hitting turbine at nearly speed of sound. This wind farm in ocean seems to make the turbine to work longer. However, corrosion and maintenances issue may arise.

Also, China has burn more coals than ever, due to surge in electricity demand. Actually, this wind farm cannot keep up with the surge of demand, that after the farm is built, more coals are still being burnt, more than ever in China.
