NEW DELHI: Petrol and diesel prices were on Monday hiked by 40 paise a litre each. This takes the total increase in rates in the last two weeks to Rs 8.40 per litre.

新德里：周一，汽油和柴油价格每升上涨40派萨，过去两周的价格总涨幅达到每升8.40卢比。

Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 103.81 per litre as against Rs 103.41 earlier. Diesel rates have increased from Rs 94.67 per litre to Rs 95.07, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers.

德里的汽油价格从之前的每升103.41卢比上涨至现在的每升103.81卢比。根据国家燃料零售商的价格通知，柴油价格已从每升94.67卢比升至95.07卢比。

Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state, depending upon the incidence of local taxation.

In all, petrol prices have gone up by Rs 8.40 per litre.

This is the 12th increase in prices since the ending of a four-and-half-month long hiatus in rate revision in March. There had been a pause in the revision of prices since November. It broke in March after crude oil prices began rising in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine war.

India is 85 per cent dependent on imports to meet its oil requirements.

No No No, this is too much. Russia has offered to sell crude to India at $35-discount to pre-war pricing levels. Even the crude oil prices are falling. Government should reverse the hikes in the prices of petrol/diesel.

Reliance Refinery has refuse to get the cheap Russian oil as they have lot of business interest in America and can't afford to go against the Americans. India gets crude from Arab Countries and they have reduced oil output and increased the price so what can Modi do.
