The second in-person Quad summit saw more concerted effort, after the IPEF launch on Monday, to check Chinese influence in the region with the 4-nation grou committing $50 billion for sustainable and demand-driven infrastructure in the Indo-Pacific and announcing a Maritime Domain Awareness surveillance initiative to combat illegal fishing by the Chinese.
