China shifts the blame on India for ongoing border standoff in the eastern Ladakh. Accusing India of acting provocatively, Chinese defence minister Wei Fenghe said that it's not the responsibility of Beiing to resolve for the standoff. New Delhi has consistently dismissed Beiing’s allegations of acting provocatively since the standoff began in May 2020. The statement comes just days after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar warned of response if China tries to alter the status quo at the borders.

It was being reported in Indian media that China indeed transgressed by some 15 kms across the LAC at some points , prior to April 2020 , at eastern Ladakh into Indian territory and are not vacating it . While India had earlier lost Aksai Chin to China in 1962 war , we have ceded some territory further in 2020 . China is continuing its tactics of salami slicing , nibbling away into other's territories.
