India is expecting 7.5% growth, which will make it the fastest growing major economy, PM Narendra Modi said at a virtual Brics business forum hosted by China on Wednesday. Technology-led growth, improving ease of doing business, infrastructure expansion and an unprecedented digital transformation are among the transformative changes taking place in the emerging 'New India' and leading the country's path to economic recovery, he added.

周三，印度总理纳伦德拉·莫迪在由中国主办的金砖国家虚拟商业论坛上表示，印度经济预计增长7.5%，由此成为增长最快的主要经济体。

"In order to deal with the economic problems arising out of the pandemic, in India we have adopted the mantra of reform, perform and transform. And the results of this approach are evident from the performance of the Indian economy," said Modi, adding the role of Brics countries will continue to remain important again at a time the world is focused on post-pandemic recovery.

very unlikely! The GDP projections so far in the US has been dismal with estimates at as low as 3.1% for the entire year.... if US is affected it will have a cascading effect and India will too! The talks of a possible recession has gained traction and the word of mouth is that it will hit in next 6-8 months. if that really is the case then hitting 5% gdp growth will be a miracle..

Modiji please stop talking big now. First take steps to increase India's exports so that it covers the imports. At the moment exports only cover less that 50% of imports. There is now a deficit on the India's current account also. This has led to pressure on the rupee which is now around one dollar equal 78.5 Indian rupee.

The rupee is depreciating fast and is the worst performing currency in the world. At this rate of depreciation it will soon it will reach one dollar equal to 100 Indian rupee. This will be a catastrophe for India leading to stagflation and high unemployment which will increase the migration from India by 100 times its present level. Modiji, stop flying in your chariot among the clouds and come back to earth. The day when Indian engineering companies win multi billion global contracts to execute is decades away.

The overheating of the startup ecosystem is making it harder to retain and hire quality tech resources in India. There aren't that many hard core hardware people, kernel writers, driver writers available. The other point is that Modiji should be looking into expanding marine cultivation to augment food supply from traditional grains to also kelp, sea weed, and krill farms in the coastal regions. Food processing of sea weed with into crisps, crackers with special algal oils could be a huge business and it's very healthy too. Country like India needs to augment food production.
