The head of govt's flagship Bullet train project sacked over charges of corruption. Rail officials flagged several allegations against ex-NHSRCL MD. Charges include misuse of official position & unauthorised diversion of funds. Agnihotri joined NHSRCL in 2021 & was earlier the MD of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. NHSRCL is a govt-states joint venture for implementing high-speed rail projects.

I remember when metro was planned in delhi during vajpayee era, and the congress ( shiela dixt) was opposing the project saying, metro is very expensive with 1km construction will have 100cr ruppees. How can this sytem sustain the business, so delhi needs better transport system with other means. Now it is the back bone of the delhi transport system.

Only BJP can dream big and have the courage to implement it.
