Sri Lanka's Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera auded the Indian government for giving a credit line for purchasing fuel as the economic crisis continues to affect over 20 million Sri Lankans. Apart from him, Sri Lankan cricketer Chamika Karunaratne also praised India for its help during the economic and political crisis faced by the island nation. Sri Lanka is facing a severe shortage of fuel and other essential supplies and is in the throes of its worst economic crisis with soaring inflation. The oil supply shortage has forced schools and government offices to close until further notice.

斯里兰卡电力和能源部长Kanchana Wijesekera称赞印度政府在经济危机继续影响2000多万斯里兰卡人之际，为斯里兰卡购买燃料提供信贷额度。

Sri Lanka already betrayed India once , people of Sri Lanka voted the Rajpaksas to power despite knowing their close ties to China. I hope that won't happen again but India must be careful when dealing with these people.
