印度政府表示，与中国商谈医学生返华事宜

NEW DELHI: India and China are in touch to finalise the modalities for facilitating the return of Indian medical students to China, the government said in Parliament on Friday. Beiing had restricted travel to China by suspending visa and residence permits with effect from March 28, 2020, due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

周五，印度政府在议会表示，印度和中国正在就促进印度医学生返华的方式进行接触。由于新冠疫情的爆发，北京方面从2020年3月28日起暂停了赴华签证和居留许可，限制了赴华旅行。

Responding to a question in Lok Sabha, the ministry of external affairs said China had recently expressed its willingness to consider facilitating the return of a limited number of Indian students on a trial basis depending upon need. Accordingly, the Indian embassy in Beiing sought details of students who intended to return to China to continue their studies.

印度外交部在下议院回答一个问题时表示，中国最近表示考虑根据需要，为有限数量的印度学生返华提供便利。因此，印度驻北京大使馆要求了解打算返华继续学习的学生的详细情况。

“A list of all such students willing to return to China has been provided to the Chinese side for their consideration,” said MoS V Muraleedharan.

“The government will continue to pursue this matter with the Chinese authorities,” he added. He also said the ministry is in touch with various countries regarding continuation of medical education in respect of Indian students who have returned from Ukraine.

It is just that unfortunately, due to the pandemic situation there, the Chinese FMG students could not be in their host country for two years. These students are getting online classes from their respective universities, and if you are a medical student you'll understand better, the need for practicals as well.

Why don't they go to China and conduct a protest by blocking public traffic. They went to China on their own will, not asking India for opinion. Now when China sent them back they all returned with no hesitation. India did all it could to help them get back, that too in their request. Now these same set of people are hitting the Indian roads to protest against what China is doing. They should get back to China and hold protest demonstration.
