Happy Independence day! India made it to the top 6th or 7th economy 75 years after independence. From BCE to 7 CE, Ancient Bharath (India) GDP was 33% of the world's GDP, which is #1 in the world. After invaders invaded India slipped to 25% of the world GDP (still #1 GDP and no debt), which was still higher than the entire Europe's GDP. Before British looted Bharath, they were not even in the top 5 GDP countries. After looting India, when British left, Britain had top GDP in the world and India was one of the poorest countries in the world asking for aid. Great growth during these 75 years!
