China successfully launched a new satellite into space from the ichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on August 23. The Chuangxn-16 satellite, developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was launched at 10:36 (Beiing Time) by a Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket and entered the planned orbit successfully. The satellite will mainly be used for scientific experiments and verification of new technologies. The launch was the 16th mission by the Kuaizhou-1A series rockets.

8月23日，中国在四川省西昌卫星发射中心成功地将一颗新卫星送入太空。

由中国科学院研制的创新16号卫星于10时36分（北京时间）由快舟1A号运载火箭发射，并成功进入预定轨道。

该卫星将主要用于科学实验和新技术的验证。

此次发射是“快舟-1A”系列火箭的第16次发射任务。
