China completes track-laying for 1st sea-crossing high-speed railway

中国完成第一条跨海高铁铺轨

China has completed the track-laying for its first sea-crossing high-speed railway in east China's Fujian Province on August 30. The vital 277.42-kilometer component of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network links the provincial capital, Fuzhou, with the port city of iamen. With a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour and eight stations along the route, it is expected to slash the travel time between the two cities to just one hour. The entire project is slated for completion in 2023.

8月30日，中国福建省完成了第一条跨海高铁的铺轨工作。

中国“八纵八横”高速铁路网中的277.42公里的重要组成部分连接省会福州和港口城市厦门。

设计速度为每小时350公里，沿线设有8个车站，

通车后预计两个城市之间的旅行时间会缩短至仅1小时。

整个项目计划于2023年完工。
