Some Indians are still extremely upset at China for taking our "claimed" territory in the Ladakh region. But this happened 60 years ago, let it go. We won't even know what to do with that Iand anyway. At least China uses that territory to link their G219 highway with their projects inside Gilgit-Baltistan and keep a watch over the India's military activities at the border

Two weeks ago, India's national security adviser, Ajith dovel  met Russian counterpart and made it clear that india won't appreciate Russia supporting china Or forcing india to back off and got clear assurance from Moscow about their neutral stand between India and china. So, it is clear that India can do what ever they want with china. After the meeting, Moscow also announced their deep interest in defence projects and further trade ties with india as they value india as their most important partner.

So, here is the thing, Russia definitely want india and china to settle their issues. But dont want to push or command both parties. In worst case scenario , Russia want to stay neutral if their mediating fails.
