141 passengers evacuated from Air India Express plane at Muscat airport following smoke warning

NEW DELHI: As many as 141 passengers were evacuated from an Air India Express plane at Muscat airport on Wednesday following a smoke warning, according to an airline source.

The incident happened while the Kochi-bound Boeing 737-800 aircraft was taxing and after the warning, the passengers were evacuated as a precautionary measure, the source said.

There were 141 passengers and six crew members onboard the aircraft that was operating flight IX 442, the source said.

Aviation regulator DGCA will probe the incident, according to an official.

据一位航空公司消息人士称，周三，在马斯喀特机场，印度航空快线飞机发出烟雾警告后，141名乘客被疏散。

消息人士称，事故发生时，这架飞往高知波音737-800飞机正在滑行，在发出故障警告后，作为预防措施，乘客被疏散。

On 3rd night this month Delhi to Goa flight had water flow system problems. All passengers shifted on another plane. Thanks god happened on ground. Not expected from Tata. Boycott Air India. They have serious us maintenance issues. May be they have enough insurance but we poor people will loose life

Air India planes are not maintained well once I saw many parts in the wings were horribly rusted and it kept me anxous through out the trip, that was my last trip on Air India, even indigo planes are better maintaned
