NEW DELHI: Indian tycoon Gautam Adani (60) on Friday briefly became the second richest person in the world after Tesla's Elon Musk.

According to Forbes real-time billionaire list, Adani went past Amazon's Jeff Bezos to claim the second spot earlier today.

He was then locked in a close contest with French businessman Bernard Arnault for the second spot. As per the current list, Arnault has gone past Adani again to settle at the second position.

Adani's fortune, which touched over $155 billion earlier today, came down to $152 billion with sensex plunging nearly 1,000 points in intraday trade.
