French rail transit engineer Romain Sevestre has been in China for 16 years. Every week, he takes the monorail train, which he helped build, to shuttle between his home in Naning City of Jiangsu Province and his workplace in Wuhu City of Anhui Province. He is often reminded of how rapidly China has changed in recent years by the flashing scenery outside the train window.

Besides weekly commuting, Romain also takes high-speed trains when traveling to other cities to participate in his favorite marathon or triathlon sports. Hanging out with his Chinese colleagues after work also helps him relax. He has become more fond of this country as he makes more Chinese friends here.

法国轨道交通工程师罗曼·塞维斯特（Romain Sevestre）已经在中国工作了16年。每周，他都会搭乘他援建的单轨列车，往返于他在江苏省南京市的家和他在安徽省芜湖市的工作场所之间。火车窗外闪烁的风景常常让他想起近年来中国发生了翻天覆地的变化。

除了每周通勤外，罗曼在前往其他城市参加他最喜欢的马拉松或铁人三项运动时，也乘坐高铁。

下班后和中国同事一起闲逛放松。随着他在这里交到更多的中国朋友，他对这个国家越来越感兴趣。

I recommend every foreigners with opportunity to travel and see China for yourself, not from media. Than judge it from your own experience. I promise you, China is not what western media want to believe. Its a big country and even bigger than Europe itself, why limiting yourself and regretting later in life. I am from Norway and i did it myself.

This is a great story that outsiders cannot appreciate unless they spend time in China. The great thing about the China Government planning is that it views the very long term and considers the children of the future. It is a normal healthy environment for the future generation. I wish the whole world can come together to better the lives of the next generation irrespective of the race,culture, colour or creed. There is no room for war and violence for the sake of a short dollar and killing of innocent lives. Personally China is the place of the future for a good quality of life.

I had been working in China for over 15 years, and because of a better job opportunity so I moved back to the US with my wife and two children. However, we have decided to move back to China in a few months because we don't feel safe living in the US anymore. We really have problems dealing with homeless people begging for money, poverty, drugs, gun violence, crimes are everywhere. These are all happening every day in our city. We had never experienced all these when we were living in China which is a very orderly, calm, modern country filled with extremely nice people. Yes, my wife and I will leave the US for China for the sake of our children's well being.

我在中国工作了15年多，为了更好的工作机会，我带着妻子和两个孩子搬回了美国。

然而，我们决定几个月后再次搬回中国，因为我们在美国生活不再安全。

我们美国无力处理无家可归者，乞讨、贫穷、毒品、枪支暴力、犯罪无处不在。

这些在我们美国城市每天都在发生。

而我们在中国生活时从未经历过这些中国是一个非常有序、平静、现代的国家，到处都是善良的人。

是的，为了孩子们的幸福，我和妻子将再次离开美国前往中国。
