Just a thought, but perhaps it’s because they realise that evolution is based on observation and testing and has a great deal of evidence to support it, whilst creationism is based on an incorrect interpretation of ancient mythology and has zero evidence to support it…

I suspect that the fact that China is not a Christian country could possibly play a part, creationism having derived from a belief in the supernatural claims of that religion.
