GANDHINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the people of Gujarat have reposed trust in him and blessed him for the last two decades irrespective of his caste and political background. Begng Sunday, PM Modi is on a three-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat.

甘地那格尔：莫迪总理周日表示，古吉拉特邦人民信任他，在过去20年里祝福他，不管他的种姓和政治背景如何。从周日开始，莫迪总理将对即将举行投票的古吉拉特邦进行为期三天的访问。

“You neither looked at my caste, nor my political life. You blessed me blindly with all your love and affection, and you saw my work and kept attesting it. Not just me, you also blessed my colleagues. And as your blessings increase, my drive and strength to work keep growing,” the PM said after declaring Modhera in Mehsana district, renowned for its Sun temple, as India's first solar-powered village.

Modi said the people of Gujarat reposed trust in him for the last two decades, due to which the state emerged as one of the prominent states in the country.

“For this, I bow before crores of Gujaratis for their patience. It is because of your efforts that the government and public worked together to make a new history. All this has been possible because of your immense faith,” he said.

他说：“为此，我对千万古吉拉特邦人的耐心佩服得五体投地。正是因为你们的努力，政府和公众共同创造了新的历史。这一切之所以成为可能，都是因为你们浓厚的信仰。”

“Modhera was known the world over as the site of the Sun temple. Henceforth, it will also be recognized for being a 100% solar-powered village,” the PM remarked.

总理说：“莫德赫拉作为太阳神庙的所在地而闻名。从今以后，它也将被公认为是一个100%由太阳能供电的村庄。”

Over 1,300 solar rooftop systems have been installed on houses, reducing the electricity bill of residents considerably. Moreover, the electricity requirements of the entire premises of the famous Sun temple has also been shifted to solar power.

The PM said north Gujarat region holds huge potential for the development of heritage tourism.

Over the next two days, the PM will visit Amod, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, where he will dedicate or lay the foundation stones of many projects.
