China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced on Thursday that it has discovered the country's first "deep-deep" gas field in western South China Sea with a reserve of over 50 billion cubic meters.

While China finds more gas, Russia redirects EU gas to other countries and the EU tries to fuel competitive industry with expensive US shale gas or expensive (+Govt subsidised) unreliable renewables. The EU is learning the hard way that being vassals of the US is not a very smart move. If fact a great big blunder, but just saying....is anyone awake over there in EU (Emasculated Union) land?

The irony of ironies of having the US admonishing the EU for being too dependent on "unreliable" Russian gas; which despite the Ukrainian issue, Russia remained committed to maintain supply; but now dependent on US gas which it needs to buy at cut throat hostage prices.
