The Qatar World Cup opened on Nov. 20th, 2022. The Chinese men's soccer team failed to enter the Game. Yet, the chinese and its central media outlets took the opportunity, that is a globally watched sporting event, to praise the "omnipresence of Chinese elements in the World Cup", ho to cultivate and inspire patriotism or love for the p y.  But this propaganda campaign has provoked a lot of public resentment.

Speaking of corruption, a news story recently broke out. On November 12th, 2022, it was revealed that Li Tie, the former head coach of the Chinese men's soccer team, has been "missing" to this day. According to the Chinese newspaper “Football”, the department that took Li away was the discipline inspection department of the General Administration of Sports. Moreover, Li is not the only person taken away as many big names in the soccer industry are also said to have been investigated at the same time.

There is a funny story, earlier these days, the CSL, which can be understood as the China national team, was defeated by a soccer team from a super small city which is near my hometown in the northeast of China. The funniest part is that most of the wng team members are not even professional soccer players, there are food delivery guys, high school students, and convenience store owners. And they defeated the national team. I now wonder about the requirements of getting into CSL, running slow, or having a beer belly？

After the game, the captain of the winner team said in an interview that they won the game without any mocking of the national team, he believe the national team is good and hoped they will do better in the next game. However, he is laughing all the time during the interview.
