World's first commercial onshore small reactor starts NI installation in S China

在中国南部，世界上第一个商用陆上小型反应堆开始安装

The world's first commercial onshore small modular reactor (SMR) project "Linglong-1" started the installation of its nuclear island (NI) on November 30 in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, south China's Hainan Province.

This multi-purpose pressurized water reactor (PWR) is cheaper and quicker to build and deploy with a higher safety level. It can be used in power supply, seawater desalination, spot heating and industrial heating.

The annual energy output of "Linglong-1" is expected to hit one billion kilowatt-hours after 58 months of construction.

11月30日，世界上第一个商用陆上小型模块化反应堆项目“玲珑一号”在中国海南省昌江黎族自治县开始安装核岛。

这种多用途压水反应堆（PWR）建造和部署成本更低、速度更快，安全水平更高。可用于电力供应、海水淡化、现场供暖和工业供暖。

经过58个月的建设，“玲珑一号”的年发电量预计将达到10亿千瓦时。
