Recently, the latest stealth bomber of the United States B21 made its debut. The Secretary of Defense was present in person and made a speech. So can China cope with such a US bomber?

近日，美国最新隐形轰炸机B21首次亮相。美国国防部长亲自出席并发表了讲话。那么，中国有办法对付美国这款轰炸机吗？

The answer is yes. The B21 is not a new generation bomber. It is one of the symbols of declining American power. The US is not strong enough to contain China militarily and the B21 will not change that.

Here, we start with why the United States developed the B21 in the first place.

First, since the end of World War II, the B21 was the first U. S. strategic bomber program not aimed at a replacement, which doomed it to never reach a game-changing level of sophistication. The US military's advantage over China in this area will shrink.

Almost every major combat platform project, such as the F22, F35 fighter jets and B2 bombers in service, has been seriously overspent and delayed.

Some American analysts scoff that politicians are at last making America's military worse than it was ...30 years ago.

In this context, the pursuit of low-cost, comparable performance of the B21 bomber, against such a powerful adversary as China, is very awkward.

Again, I advice that China should not be complacent and assume it has superior forces that can overcome the new American B-21 bombers.

Note that these new B-21 are not only stealthy but unmanned.

This meant that they are designed for "one way, no return, suicide" missions and can carry heavier payloads including more aviation fuel, allowing them to execute much longer range missions.
