External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has denounced China once again for simmering tensions between New Delhi and Beiing at the borders. Accusing the china  of playing border games, Jaishankar said that China is not honouring its agreements with India. The statement comes a day after the new Chinese Foreign Minister sought to improve ties with India. However, the PLA's posture on the LAC is at odds with the chinese’s conciliatory remarks

The problem is though, by not denouncing Russia's war of aggression and attempts to redraw the borders around Ukraine, India is running a big risk that China will get emboldened by any perceived Russian success. Whilst it might not matter too much if China redraws the LAC (they might gain access to a few more rocks, boulders, glaciers and herds of yaks) China might also feel emboldened to go for bigger territorial prizes (eg South China Sea etc ...). Sitting on the fence on the Ukraine war and just ho to profit from discounted Russian fossil fuels is not a very wise option ... .
