This is just for demonstration I think. It hasn't really opened to the public yet. It was just commissioned as being finished, but they are still doing some trial runs to get ready for daily use.

New York uses metro which is 5x more expensive than the light rail Lagos got and the Lagos light rail is fully funded by Lagos state not borrowed

@President News correct. The transit system in NY is quite old and extensive, although it stands in varying states of cleanliness, repair and renovation. While other US cities also have mass transportation systems, they are not nearly as developed or utilized to the same extent as those in Asia. Many major cities in China alone built extensive subway and train systems. Cities in China are also heavily connected by bullet train and passenger rail. It seems there is a difference in development philosophy, with Asian cities focusing on high density development, while North American cities gravitate toward low density suburban development, which affects how mass transit is established.
