Is Modi leading India better?

Here's my personal experience..

My mom does ironing of clothes. On one fine evening, while mom was on her work,

A lady of about 30-35 years, who knows mom well came along with her son of 8 yrs (I found it later) to take their clothes. While aunt was having a routine chat with mom, I observed that kid was continuously insisting his mom to leave quickly.

When my mother asked for the reason, aunt's reply left me awestruck!

In her own words, "PM's initiative for Swachh Bharat attracted him very much! After returning from school everyday, he along with his elder brother(12 years) spends a time of about 10-15 minutes to check for a pile of papers, solid waste, plastic disposals in our street and dumps them in a GHMC dustbin in the next street!"

That particular day was getting dark and so the kid was urging his mother!

When was the last time that a PM of India had such influence to pursue his/her people towards a good cause?

And we all know how our fellow Indians came forward to withdrew their LPG subsidy on his call.

An efficient leader isn't the one just who performs his/her duties well,but the one who can make his/her citizens responsible and part of such initiatives.

Yes! He is 'leading' India!

Last year I was in London, sitting at a cafe sip my coffee. A man entered inside the cafe. After looking at me a few times, he came to my table and sat, then asked me softly,

"Are you a Gujarati?"

“I am an Indian.” I replied.

“Oh! You must be a Gujarati Indian. There's a Gujarati guy who also used to say, we are 125 crores Indian rather to say Gujarati only.”

“He is very aggressive to Pakistan but still you took his name respectfully, Modiji?”

His reply convinced me,

“I don't know much more about diplomacy between the two nations but with a single tweet his foreign minister, Sushma Swaraj ji gave visa to my sister for medical treatment. This is enough reason for me to respect him and Indian people.”

After that I realized, how PM of nation can change the perception of the world towards 1.25 billion people.

Is Narendra Modi the most successful prime minister ever?

Too soon to say. He has to compete with the likes of Nehru, Rao and Vajpayee. Nehru brought India together as a nation from the bits and pieces that the British left behind. After the death of Gandhi and Patel it was all on his shoulders to lead this new republic to success and build a global name for it.

Modi also brought some landmark things like GST [the biggest piece of economic legislation in Indian history], IBC, end of Article 370, widespread welfare schemes, creating a new Chief of Defense Staff, ending Planning Commission, enabling the begng of a liberal society [end of Triple Talaq, discrimination against LGBT] etc. But, still long ways to go.

Each of the 4 PMs had their list of faults, but they also enabled landmark successes. Only history can say if Modi can beat the other 3.
