You don’t seem to understand what’s going on, you see China will produce anything their customer asks for, also as far as quality goes, it has nothing to do with China but everything to do with what your companies are buying to sell, if you want to blame any one, blame the people selling the stuff, they are the ones buying the rubbish to sell because it’s cheap and they make more profit through volume, If you stop buying the crap, then maybe they will start getting better quality things. I mean people rightfully reacted to the obvious incorrect framing of your question already, so let me try to give you an answer that’s more in line with what you are looking for, ignoring the obvious bad framing: The variety of products available here is WIDE. You can get extremely good or bad quality stuff easily. Hilariously a lot of products are made here, sent overseas, and then imported back, and that stuff has about the same ratio of good to bad as stuff you just buy here directly, but some people still have an outdated preference for imports. As an example we can look at origami paper. I can buy shitty origami paper that is little more than colored a4 paper for 3 yuan. I can find the same shitty paper under a different brand for 10 yuan. The prices of high quality paper are barely any different, with some available for under 4 yuan and just over 10 yuan for a different brand. However if I go to a different selling platform I can find imported stuff for over 30 yuan with the same exact offerings. If I go into an actual store prices are going to range from around 7 yuan to 15 yuan just from memory. It’s a similar story with most things that are made here.
