Thais are quite open. Due to the huge tourism industry there, Thais are quite familiar with people from various places.

Besides that, unlike in some other countries, Thais are perfectly fine with international, interracial, or interfaith marriages. As long as the foreigner respects Thai customs and is able to sustain a decent living for his family, Thais usually wouldn't make much fuss.

Last but not least, Thailand has a big foreigner community. Unlike in many other develo countries, even many Western long-term residents of Thailand can speak Thai.

I feel compelled to write this after reading some other answers which characterize Thai women as subservient. You may indeed be able to get a subservient Thai girl, but that girl will likely be a village girl without much education. A well-educated professional Thai woman is just like any other well-educated professional women: they are not going to put up with bullshit from insecure low-life men.

I think it may happen because by and large, Thai women are sweet and most know how to cook. They largely enjoy the role of housewife, caring for the kids, cooking, cleaning, etc. Knowing this, treat your Thai lady with love, respect, and honor her integrity and family. God help you if you do something bad to piss her off…you will be having your meals at a noodle shop and slee in a hammock outside. This isn’t a misogynistic view, it’s just how it is. probably lower cost of living, I think prostitutes are cheaper to hire than in “western”countries (never been in Thailand), they may find Thai women in general attractive..they may be interested in “ladyboys” , there seem to be many in Thailand, prostitution seems accepted. they may be interested in very young women which would be illegal to have sex with in their own country, or illegal to hire as a prostitute.

I found that living in Thailand without a Thai women was difficult. Many find this to be the case. So we find a woman in order to make our lives better here.

I suppose it’s because they can find a lot more women, interested in them and more submissive to their advances than where they come from. Asian men don’t do it.
